XOT metals supply molybdenum strip and foil by reverse rolling process according to ASTM B386.We use purity 99.95% molybdenum powders as original material for producing molybdenum strips and foils. Both high purity raw material and vacuum heat treatment ensure a high density (near to academic 10.2 g/cm3) of our finished products.
Molybdenum is a silver-white metal with a molybdenum atomic radius of 0.14 nm, an atomic volume of 235.5 px/mol, a coordination number of 8, a crystal of the Az-type body-centered cubic system, and a space group of Oh (lm3m), which has not been found yet. There are heterogeneous transitions. The lattice parameter of molybdenum at room temperature is between 0.31467 and 0.31475 nm, which varies with the impurity content. Molybdenum has a high melting point and ranks sixth in nature. It is called refractory metal.
Production Process of Molybdenum Strip / Foil
There is obtained molybdenum billet with a help of powder metallurgy. Then, billet must be heated and hammered on forging rotary machine to the form of thin sheet. After hot drawing, there is obtained a hot molybdenum strip. After transformation of sheet into foil, rolling can continue at standard temperature.
