What is NbTi Alloys (90Nb10Ti alloys, 53Nb47Ti alloys, 50Nb50Ti alloys and 45Nb55Ti alloys )?
The niobium titanium alloy with niobium content of 40 ~ 60wt % has the following characteristics: high specific strength, non-magnetism, high thermal resistance, excellent superconductivity, excellent mechanical stability and good biocompatibility.
In annealed state, NbTi alloy shows good mechanical properties, machining properties and corrosion resistance. So, it is an ideal material for manufacturing aerospace fasteners and superconductors.

As early as 2019, XOT metals actively tackled this technology, especially the production of niobium-titanium tubes.
The NBTI capillary tubes made in the early days were limited by technology and mold, and the straightness of the tubes was poor, including tube1 and tube2. At the same time, customers reported that the tubes were hard and difficult to process. Because the tubes were made by the drawing process, the processing marks were obvious under the electron microscope, especially the inner surface of the tubes was rough, which was inconvenient for further processing,
After receiving customer feedback, we adjusted the tooling and equipment and switched to the rolling process for production. After replacing 9 sets of molds and a lot of trial and error, we can use the rolling process to produce pipes between 1.5-3.0 outer diameter and 0.25-0.30*1000-2000 wall thickness, and the internal and external surfaces and finish of the pipes are very good, and it has been successfully verified in major laboratories at home and abroad.
